Welcome Back!

I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you back to my webpage, or if this is your first visit here, welcome for the first time.

With the popularity of social media sites, many businesses are wondering if it’s worth having a webpage. I think it is. I like that I can reach out to everyone, regardless of what social media sites or retailers you visit. Even if Facebook were to go down (gasp), you could still find me here.

On Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, I’m dependent on an algorithm to show my post to my “followers.” Sometimes that works well and sometimes it doesn’t. On my webpage, you can click around and see what YOU want to see, not what AI thinks you’ll enjoy seeing. It’s a subtle difference, but maybe an important one.

To that end, I hired Jones House Creative to give my page a new look. I hope you love it as much as I do. Some of the key features are:

  • Search by genre from the home page. Your options are dystopian, thriller, Christian suspense, cozy mysteries, and Amish romance.
  • Individual book pages with links to all retailers (I’m still in the process of updating these).
  • Sign up for my newsletter and choose which free e-book you’d like to receive: Security Breach or Dead Wrong.
  • A Contact button, where the email will go straight to yours truly.

I want to celebrate my beautiful, fun, updated page. I thought I’d do that by giving away a Box of Books! As you can see from the pic above, I’m including a wide variety. Feel free to keep the genres you love, and share the rest with a friend, co-worker, neighbor, or local library. Leave a comment below, telling me your favorite genre, and I’ll randomly pick one winner to receive our Box of Books!

On my webpage, you can click around and see what YOU want to see,
not what AI thinks you’ll enjoy seeing

And after you comment, feel free to click around. I’ll be back soon with details about a new release!

  1. As always, your books are such wonderful reading. I have read and often re-read. Thank you for your writing of these books. Keep them coming!!

  2. I always thought my favorite genre was Amish Fiction – partly started by your Christmas novel, all those years ago. Then, you had to start writing dystopian novels!! That genre really makes me ponder the “What ifs?” This is all your fault – haha! Thanks for the opportunity and congrats on the web site!

  3. Romance is my favorite genre. It can be Christian, RomCom, Historical, Regency, Amish, Suspense… but I need love and a Happily Ever After added in. Thanks for the chance Vannetta!

I took a moment and looked around on the site… 48 books, wow! Yay to living in Texas, we are huge Dallas Cowboys fans here. And I always wondered how your students feel about a published author as a teacher?! To me, that would be the coolest thing!!!

  4. Love the new page. Reading your Amish books got me hooked on all things Amish. My first Amish book was your mystery series set at the Essen house and I fell in love with that genre from then on.

  5. I do like your new website! I’ve enjoyed moving around and through it. My favorite has been the Amish B&B cozy mystery!

  6. Picking a favorite genre is like trying to pick a favorite child. I will say dystopian is quickly becoming a go-to. One of the first GOOD dystopian books I read was Deep Shadows.

  7. I own most of your books, but have a few holes. This new site is great and is easy to navigate! Now I can just look through each list. Thanks

  12. Love the new website. All genres are good, I just like to read. I work in a library. It’s tempting to sit and read all day instead of doing my job!

  13. My favorite genre is romantic suspense hands down. I’ve always been a mystery fan. I think you are right about a website. I don’t do Facebook or any of the other new popular things. Don’t have time for all that.

  14. All the books look good. I’ve read a couple of them already. Wouldn’t mind reading the rest. Thanks for opportunity to win.

  15. Dear Vannetta,

I love your new look and
can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us.
I enjoy reading all genre’s and if a mystery or two
is involved so much the better.
God’s Blessings to You and Yours.

  16. Job well done on the new/revised web site. I love user friendly web sites. 🙂 I am a retired high school business teacher, a mother, a grandmother and great-grandmother. My husband died 20 years ago, and I became an avid reader at bedtime. My favorite has been Amish fiction because their stories nearly always end in me having pleasant dreams.

  17. In your books, my favorite genre is murder mystery. You’re great at keeping me guessing until the end.

I was telling my mom yesterday that I enjoy reading historical fiction. However, her and I both read biblical apocalyptic books.

I haven’t read any of your apocalyptic books yet so I can’t add them to the favorite genre list yet.

And I need to ask, do you post on Instagram? You mentioned it so I went on the hunt [again] for you, but the closest I found was a Vannetta Chapman without any posts.

  18. Good web page. Even I can read it and find my way around. So many sites are cluttered and hard to find what I need, Yours is great,

  19. Great new website! I explored some and found that you live in Texas Hill County. I have moved to Round Rock this year!

  20. I have read several of your books in various genres and enjoy them all. I believe my favorite genre is romantic suspense, though 🙂

  21. The website looks great. Easy to navigate and I like that you have a list of all your books. My favorite genre is cozy mystery. I enjoy solving a whodunit. I like cozy mysteries that involve a craft. Thank you for a chance to win. Have a good weekend!

  22. My favorite genre of fiction would be romance and more specifically, Christian/clean romance. Amish fiction would be my all-time favorite.

  23. Hello from Ga.! Second visit to your website. I’ve been a fan for a long time and remember having to run to our local Christian bookstores to buy your new book. Not that we don’t have any Christian bookstore anymore. Plus Lifeway was my last full time job. A plus since I could post on my fb page my favorite books! Your site looks great and is easy to navigate. Best wishes for your new school year too 😎

  24. Love all your books, but especially the Amish romances! I am somewhat new to your books. So glad I found you through my local library. I live in Ontario, Canada.

  25. I read only Christian fiction, enjoy Amish, romantic suspense and some historical, and Biblical fiction. Let’s just say I love it all!
I have a little free library in my front yard that I put my books in after I read and review them. Would love to win a box of books! Thank you for the chance!!

  26. Wonderful website! Easy to navigate. I found you with your Amish romance series. Then I discovered your other genres and I believe I have almost every book you’ve written (so far)! I really enjoy the “voice’ that you write in, it is compelling, inviting, mysterious, and full of love and compassion depending on what I’m reading. Your stories are hard to pause, as I want to know how it will end quickly. Thank you for the opportunity to win a box of your books, I’d love to share them with friends to get them hooked on your stories, too! : )

  27. Love your books, but I must admit that the dystopian ones are not a favorite! Thanks for such a wide variety of your books.

  28. The new site is wonderful! At my age (59) I can appreciate Instagram and Facebook but really like visiting websites. Love your suspense and cozy mysteries best. Thanks for the amazing giveaway!

  29. You make some good points on having a website verses just social media. I just perused your website. Very nice! I like that you have a list of all your books, in order. I’m always looking for an author’s book list just like you have.

My favorite genre is Amish romance or just Amish in general. Although, here within this last year, I have been enjoying Christian suspense.

  30. I read and enjoy a wide variety of genres. My favorite is probably Thriller/Suspense. I’m still (im)patiently awaiting the next Allison Quinn book!

  31. Love your website. I love reading everyday. Amish are my first choice but I read just about anything that isn’t pirate, vampire.

  32. Love your Amish fiction books. If I win the box of books, any books which I have read will go to 1 of the 3 Little Free libraries that I know of in my area…they are so cute!

  33. I love your books and website. My favorite genre is Mystery/Suspense. Can’t get enough of them. Thanks for writing such good stories.

  34. Your new sight is fabulous and so easy to use. I enjoy many genres, but Christian suspense and Amish stories are favorites.

  35. I love all your books, but I seem to navigate towards anything Amish, lol.
Your new website is great! I liked your other one too.
I like how you have incorporated a Blog now.

  36. I really like the look and functionality of your new website! As far as my favorite genre, when it comes to your books I have a hard time picking a favorite. I will say the Kessler Effect series really drew me in and made me to some serious introspection as to how I would fare in those situations. I can honestly say I have really enjoyed every one of your books! Please keep them coming!
