2015 UFO Challenge, January

So how is everyone doing? Did you have a good January?

IMG_3209I had a busy and fun month. This challenge really helped me, as I’m pretty tired when I finish working each day. (Can anyone relate to that?)  Without the challenge there’s a strong possibility I would stare at the tv or play a computer game. I still did SOME of that, but I also finished 2 projects.

The first is a baby quilt for a friend of our family. Her baby’s name is Conrad, and he is the sweetest thing. This pattern is actually for a wall hanging, but I used baby fabric, and it turned out a good size. The free pattern is here. It was very easy to make, which is what I need since I’m a beginner.

IMG_3259Since I finished my UFO and had time to spare, I made a pillowcase for the One Million Pillowcase challenge. That was also a free pattern, and you can find many free pillowcase patterns here.

So how about you? Did you finish a project? Or are you enjoying cheering us on? Either way, leave a comment and I’ll draw one winner to receive a book of their choice.

If you can, leave a picture of your project. If the program doesn’t allow that, just describe it to us. I’ve also set up a board on Pinterest. If you are on Pinterest and would like to post to it, just send me a request on Pinterest or email me at VannettaChapman (at) gmail (dot) com with your Pinterest name. I’ll add you! If you’d like to just go look at the board, you can find it here. The February number has not been posted yet, but click here in the next few days and AllPeopleQuilt will post it. Scan down to where February is listed and there will be a number beside it.

Blessings!

Love the quilt! I made a lot of progress on my January UFO. I worked on a bike quilt panel that I bought several years ago. I added 2 borders and was able to get it marked and basted for quilting. I have started on the quilting, but I hand quilt so it will be a little bit before that portion is done. I was very excited about the progress that I made and am looking forward to seeing what project will be up next!

Hi Vannetta, project #4 is still in progress, involved applique and paper piecing, fun stuff. Will keep it available so maybe next project pick will be a fast one. Can you believe I have 12 UFO’S? Oh well, at least I’m finally doing something with them.
You are doing such a great job, Congratulations!

I can believe you has 12, Irene. They stack up easily – and I think I have more than 12 so don’t feel alone. Congratulations on working on your project!

I randomly chose a comment with RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR, and Missy won a copy of the book of her choice. Missy, I’ve sent you an email. Everyone check back for next month’s UFO post and we’ll pick another winner.

I finished a flannel nightgown for a 12 year old young lady who lives in cold, cold Indiana. Sorry I am not able to post a picture. Must learn how to do that!!!!!
