One Last Q&A

Christian authors, Christian fiction Comments: 23

I’ve been answering your questions the last few weeks on my blog, so I thought I’d finish that up today. Remember: every week I give away a book, so leave a comment below and your name will be entered to win a copy of one of my mysteries (your choice).

Patricia didn’t actually ask a question, but she left a comment about being a cancer survivor and reading and taking my books to her oncologist’s office. Thank you so much for commenting, Patricia, and I’m glad the books were a blessing to you.

Meg asked, “Are you planning on writing any more in the mystery series?” No. Both of my current series are complete at 3 books each, BUT … I am putting finishing touches on What The Bishop Saw, which introduces a new series titled The Amish Bishop Mystery Series. Book one will release in May of 2017.

Marilyn asked, “What drew you to write Amish series and then change to mysteries? I love the Plain and Simple Miracle series.” Actually I was writing Amish romances for one publisher, when another publisher (Harper Collins) asked me to write Amish mysteries. I said SURE! I’m so glad you enjoyed books 1 and 2 in the Plain and Simple Miracles series. Book 3, Sarah’s Orphans, will release on August 30th. Also, you might check out my Pebble Creek series, which is in the same genre.

july rafflecopterThat wraps up our Q&A time. I hope everyone is having a great summer, and remember to leave a comment to be entered in this week’s giveaway. This week’s question: What types of things do you do when it’s too hot to go outside? (It’s too hot to go outside in Texas. Trust me.) PS- Last week’s winner was Tiffany, and I’ve sent her a email.

Announcements for this week:

  • Deep Shadows is now available in print and ebook. **Amazon ** B&N ** CBD. And the price has stayed below $9 for most vendors, so get your copy today!
  • The giveaway at Inkslinger’s Blog will last through 7-23. Leave a comment on the blog to be entered. Plus you can read about 24 hours in the life of a romance author. Who wouldn’t want to read that? It’s RIVETING. :)
  • Baker Kella is offering a giveaway of Deep Shadow that runs through the end of this week.
  • My JULY Rafflectoper giveaway is live. I’m so excited about giving away the wall hanging, which would look perfect in a child or grandchild’s room. Click here and scan down the page to enter.

Blessings,

Vannetta

Hi, how many (and which ones) of your books are still in print in mass market paperback editions? I’m a librarian, and I’m ordering mass market mysteries this month. Thanks! (I’d love “Murder Simply Brewed” if I win…)

Thank you for answering my question! I love the series, but I’m sure the next mystery one will be just as good. As for heat in Michigan, I have a lot of crafts to do. Central air is a blessing too!

It has been an unusually hot and humid summer here in PA. The good thing is that the fruits and vegetables have been growing rapidly in this sauna! I run errands very early in the day or later in the evening. If I am not working, I stay in the a/c and quilt. I usually make holiday gifts but this year I found a fabric series called “Backyard Roses” and fell in love with it. I decided to treat myself and make a lap quilt. The fabric is so colorful and fun to work with that I don’t mind staying inside!

Thank you for answering our questions. Great information and to know more great books are coming to read. I’m reading A Wedding for Julia currently. The Pebble Creek Amish Series was a great one like all your books. God bless.

I enjoy all your books. I have read everything except the newest one. I went to a book store last week to buy it, but they didn’t have it. I was very disappointed. Keep up the good work! Thank you. Debbie

When it’s too HOT to go outside, I stay inside with the air conditioner & all the ceiling fans on. I watch Tv shows about life in Alaska. I also read Christmas fiction during this time of year. Anything to think of cool weather!

I live in Texas too, near Houston, and the humidity is terrible. I’m from west central Texas near Abilene and the hot days out there are different. On hot days I like to stay inside in the AC and drink iced coffee like my mother made, and read or watch old movies. Do you have any speaking engagements coming up that are near Houston, Austin, La Grange, Georgetown? I’d love to hear your talks.

One of the things we used to do when it was too hot to move was go to a movie, especially when the children were little. We were on tight budgets, so that was always a treat for all of us.

When its too hot to go out in TN, I spend too much time at pc, read, and early and late in the day when it is cooler, I slip outside and make pictures of whatever catches my eye.
