vc bike helmetSummer time has officially arrived in Texas! I know because my car’s digital display read 100 on the thermostat. Ouch! Actually we’ve been blessed with quite a bit of rain and generally cooler temperatures.

I love the change of seasons. Every time it happens, I say “THIS is my favorite season!” Some of the things I love to do in June are–

  • Read in the hammock
  • Go for early morning or late evening walks
  • Work in the garden
  • Eat my lunch outside in the shade
  • Go to a baseball game
  • Quilt in the air conditioning
  • Go to a movie where it’s nice and cold on someone else’s buck.
  • Spend a night at a hotel with a swimming pool (I don’t get to do that very often, but it’s fun when I do.)
  • Ride my bike!

So, it’s your turn. What do you like to do in the summer time?

Blessings,

V

Puttering around taking care of my flowers. Many of them I started from seed last winter. We’ve had a dry summer until this week. They kept me busy watering them. Now we have had rain for 3 days so they may drown before it’s over. Supposed to get rain most of next week also.

Vannetta…thank you! thank you! thank you! I’m so excited at winning a copy of your new book! that will definitely top my list of things to do this month! (or as soon as I receive it) I love spending time outside during the wonderful weather…most of my time is spent cozying up somewhere with a great book. Not being able to do much physically…I enjoy inviting new characters into my garden to visit and get to know. There are so many new Amish books out this year…I want to read them all! It’s like spending the days with their families and enjoying a simpler life style….I can’t wait to start this new series! hope you have an extremely awesome summer!
